This beer has a solid malt aroma.Pours dark copper with a reddish tint.Has a big off white head.Alot of malt and some rye in the flavors.Mouthfeel is a bit thin but has a big bitter finish.By far the best Harpoon beer I’ve had.

Forget the style and it is a good drink, quite bitter with malt kicking in at the finish. A good bitterness, a tad of spice and drinkable. Nice head, fresh, golden body.A nice summer beer. One dimensional. This could be some else’s ESB.

Yowza. I found this to have too much in the way of hops flavoring for me.

Seemed to have a bit of skunk at first, but it aired out and was fine. The initial flavor is of malt. Grainy, graham cracker flavor. Dry maltiness. Then, the back features a clean noble hop profile. Floral, spicy and surprisingly bitter. Not quite as hoppy as a pilsner, but this basically tastes like a cross between the malt of a vienna and hops of a pilsner. Very refreshing. I wish there were more examples of this style to try out. Easily the most impressive beer I’ve had from Harpoon.

Pours a rich head. Dark orange. Aroma of light hops and spice. Flavour is similar to the aroma; hoppy with a stronger spice note. Yeast is present in the finish. Some caramel flavour. Overall a warm lightly spiced beer.

Slightly hazy reddish amber color. Large even dense white head. Light hop aroma, very slight coffee from the head. Light bodied, mild caramel taste. Amber light.

Bottle. Poured hazy copper color with a large frothy off-white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate bready malty aroma. Medium body with a sticky texture. Medium balanced flavor with a smooth malty finish of moderate duration. Solid drinkable beer that is good ovarall and very good to style.

Golden in color with a slight haze and a dense off-white head.Aroma of floral hopa nd bready malt with a touch of citrus. Flavor is sweet bready malt backed up with a zing of hop bitterness in the finish.I’ve not had many calassic examples of this style, but on it’s own, it’s a well brewed and highly drinkable beer.
