Pours a furious hazy orange and gold, with a thick, fluffy khaki creampuff. Aroma is a bit odd. Caramel, apples, dust, toast, and bananas. Mingled. The flavor belies this beer’s unfortunate age. Tangy malt sugars fly around with some sprightly yeasts and a good bit of oxidation. I suppose a beer this light could never stave off the perils of time. Body is fresh, airy and bubbling against the palate. Very nice carbonation. Some generic old spices mingle in the background. I sense a quality beer beneath the fog of age. This had some malty depth and a nice yeast character for sure.

Very good grassy flavors. Malts were slightly sweet, nutty and toasted. Solid beer. Kevin (1918), Colorado, USA
