| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 20, 2008 22oz bottle. Pours a deep orangey copper with a medium-thin light tan head. The aroma is herbal and full of toasted bread. The flavor follows the aroma: bready with some toasty melanoidins, mild caramel malt sweetness, and an interesting herbal hop character. The finish is well-balanced with hop bitterness (fairly clean, herbal - slightly medicinal, not quite earthy, not quite spicy). The mouthfeel is medium-full in body with some swirly ropes of fullness. The carbonation is soft. Overall, not the hop bomb I expect of wet hop ales, but still really well-balanced and drinkable. malrubius (1004), Valley Stream, New York, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 17, 2008 22 ounce bottle split in pint glass. Mild acidic hop and toasted caramel aroma. Toasted caramel and fruity peach with English style bitterness and finishing toasty sweetness. Medium body and carbo. Tastes like an English-style pale ale, not sure it impresses as a fresh hop beer. decent enough, but I prefer American west coast style fresh hop ales like Sierra and Great Divide. Southern Tier is much better too. A decent pale ale, but a disappointment as a "special" and a wet hop. In fact, I still like their IPA better. JCB (1796), Durham, North Carolina, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Oct 16, 2008 22oz from The Wine Specialist, D.C. Nice looking brew, a deep glowing amber pour with a modest head, decent retention. The nose is actually fairly thin, with faint traces of pine in there but not the aromatic splendor I crave in a wet hop beer. Sweet malts actually wrestle with the clean hop flavors for dominance. Ultimately the latter win out, as it should be, but there’s a fairly mild and only mildly floral flavor here that’s just a bit disappointing. Brief, overly dry finish too. Thoroughly meh. swoopjones (1923), Buffalo, New York, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 15, 2008 poured a clear amber hue with an off white head that had some lacing. Aroma was a mix of sweet malt notes and a nice hops presence. Flavor was a little lacking some sweet malt notes and a very mild hop profile that did not live up to what the aroma indicated. Still smooth and easy to drink, a decent session. jah noth (1022), Rochester, New York, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 10, 2008 Muted aroma of grass and caramel. Light gold in color, little head. Rich and malty, slight herbal, but not overpowering. You can drink it, but like a lot of harpoons, subpar. michael-pollack (2745), King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA
