The pour was copper in color with a lighter colored head. The aroma was lightly roasted dark malts, caramel, smoke, some grainy wood type notes. The flavor was off for a scottish ale, caramel, brown sugar, dark roasty elements, chocolate, earthy notes, off flavors, oxidized? Mouthfeel was light, somewhat astringent. Not a pleaser. Oh well. curly (598), Nashville, Tennessee, USA
