I believe this was my first amber ale as well. Poured a clear amber body with a small head. The aroma was sweet, the taste was sweet with some hops. Tessic (478), Brantford, Ontario, Canada
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 29, 2006 This ale pours a dark yellow colour with a off white foamy head. Orange, lemon and pineapple citrus to the nose. First sip was delicious with flavours of light hops and light citrus. Finish is mild and the palate is very slightly bitter with a slight hop linger. kevd193213 (512), Hope Valley, Rhode Island, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 25, 2006 Very carbonated, almost to a faut. Almost tastes like a Harpoon IPA light, still has a hint of hops. White head, smooth finish. mansquito (843), Boston/Philadelphia, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Nov 12, 2006 This is the less alcoholic and less hoppy cousin of the more prevelent Harpoon India Pale Ale. Actually, I prefer this beer to that one. This medium bodied beer goes down smoother and in my humble opinion tastes a little bit better than its close kin. Average and nothing too special, but definately good. danimal34 (41), Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 25, 2006 Nice amber ale. Not much aroma, but faint hints of fruits. Carbonation creates a nice visual, but definitely seems added. Above average for a mass produced ale. Finishes well, but still a bit watery. I’ll let the wife bring it home, I’ll spend my money elsewhere. mkgrenwel (420), Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Sep 5, 2006 Thin, but very recognizeable flavor. Let’s see if I can place it. A little bit malty and just enough hops to be noticed. Lots of carbonation, a little too much in fact. The flavor might be cranberry. It seems to be some fruit, but I’m not sure that’s it. Is it a proprietary yeast that I’m recognizing? Maybe a little bit of apple as well. Slightly nutty isn’t innacurate. Just a little bit spicy. A touch metallic. Overall, there’s a bit of flavor here. Mostly just a watery, weak beer with marginal flavors.

The aroma is nutty malts. The flavor is sour and tangy nutty malts with a floral hop element on the finish.
