Commercial Description:
Currently Thom’s Olde Ale is Harpoon Ale, our first beer.

The first in the Harpoon family of beers, our ale is a light amber in color, medium bodied, and well balanced. The slightly fruity aroma is from Harpoon’s special yeast.

There is hardly any substance to this beer. It has that signature Harpoon yeast watered down with malts and some nuttiness. I can drink this one and not even notice its there.

A refreshing enough ale, but nothing here to propel it beyond that. Hazy amber pour with off-white head. More malt than hop in the aroma. The flavor was sweet — caramel. Slightly bitter in the finish. Thin to medium body. Nicely carbonated.

Deep amber with a moderate beige head. Caramel, floral, fruity nose with a touch of spice. Light bodied and watery. Flavor was somewhat sweet, fruity, nutty. Very mediocre beer.

Bottle. Dark golden color. White foamy head. Light aroma, and nice flavor, a little sweet.

Bottle: Poured a dark golden, almost amber, with an average foamy head, but curiously zero activity. Light fruity aroma. Very sweet flavor, sweeter than I’d expected. Turns into a tinny aftertaste the more I drank. Eh ...

Clear, Light orange golden color. strange aroma. not of finishing hop of light malt. tingly palate contains mostly bitterness and maybe too much carbonation. I’m in the mood for some rice and beans. Strange balance. I may have expected an ESB maybe..?

Bottle Pours a hazy amber with an off white creamy head. The produces good lacing and last fairly well. Has a nice mixture of aromas, with a musty hoppiness. Light bodied and good carbination. Has a decent texture which is hard to describe. Has a very nice finish. I think its a very tasty beer. Good flavor and very drinkable.

Bottle. Poured clear dark amber with an average frothy off-white head that diminished slowly with fair lacing. Moderate caramel balanced aroma. Medium body with a watery texture. Medium balanced bitter sweet flavor with a light bitter finish of moderate duration. Solid drinkable brew.
