Void of much real flavor. Finishes clean and does not make an impression on the palate. Big dissapointment compared to Harpoon’s IPA offering. TheBeerLover (1019), DC Metro Area, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Feb 12, 2006 Well done, solid, drinking beer. Pours to a bright, amber color, with a thick, and creamy white head, and a good bit of carbonation. The nose is nice on this beer with good aromas of sweet and stewed malts, and some nice flowery hop aroma. The palate is firm, with good flavors of sweet malt, paired with a nice back drop of estery fruit. Harpoon Ale finishes with good sweet malt and caramel malt flavor up front, then ends with some good, grassy hop bitterness that takes the cloying edge off this beer. An excellent session beer, and a very food friendly one as well. Goes great with classic British pub grub, and is a natural with fish and chips, or a hot bowl of Boston baked beans. Flavor is quite sweet. Nice caramel, yeast, roasted malt, a touch of honey as well. Finishes with some floral hops. Palate is medium bodied without much carbonation. Drinkable and would make a nice session. WhiteAlePower (91), Long Island, New York, USA

I won’t go into detail. flat (not spoiled) flavour, very boring, and unappealing brew. Sregnar35 (730), Rotterdam, New York, USA
