| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 3, 2005 Dark gold to amber in color. Modest like beige head. Mild fruit, light toast and touch of floral hops. Sweet malt start with a mild grass and grain component. Really doesn’t change much throughout. More an APA than an Amber, but there nothing wrong with that. Cletus (5057), Connecticut, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 7, 2005 (12 oz bottle) Pours medium amber, creamy white head, good lacing. Aroma is beer (malt and hops!). A little fizzy, but good body. Tastes just OK, slightly bitterish, slight vegetable aftertaste. Nothing challenging, but a good basic ale. mrkimchee (1414), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 6, 2005 clear orange, off white head. caramel, orange, citrus, toasted bread aroma. juicy malt flavour with orange zest, mild banana and caramel. not bad. OldGrowth (1426), North Carolina, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jul 2, 2005 Bottle, from Julio’s. good nose, sweet. Caramel, apple, bubblegum. Lite clean brownish orange color. Small head that faded quickly to a ring. Sweet flavors, like aromas with a little citrus, little soapy. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel, sweet, sour finish. Enjoyable enough, but it kinda like drinking history. What I mean by that is this is what alot of early micros were like, IMO. Is it possible to have signature creaminess? Seems to be in alot of Harpoons brews. SwedeDog (364), Windsor, Connecticut, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 2, 2005 Bottle. I guess it’s alright. Nothing special. No bonus points, no penalties. Aroma was light. Some grassy hops, some malts. Maybe some clove but maybe I’m reaching. A little must going on in the nose as well. Flavor has a bit more going on than the aroma, but it’s still rather light. Not bad, mind you, just light. Some malts and fruits, a little hoppiness at first which fades into a semi-sweet maltiness around mid bottle. It finishes dry and slightly sour. It’s more of a beer you’d give to your less enthusiastic friends than to keep all to yourself.
