Commercial Description:
Currently Thom’s Olde Ale is Harpoon Ale, our first beer.

The first in the Harpoon family of beers, our ale is a light amber in color, medium bodied, and well balanced. The slightly fruity aroma is from Harpoon’s special yeast.

Poured this one a little rough to get some head out of it, ass the other harpoons didnt give good head, and no one wants that. No one. This is definately the type of brew that my college companions would like. Unfortuantely, I enjoy a strong palate, a pleasant, lasting mouthfeel, liberal use of hops, malts, and/or yeast. This beer doesn't seem to indulge in those. But goddamn, this is one easy goin beer. No arguments here about that, it just could use a little more to make is interesting.

I drank this one a little bit warmer than I probably should have but enjoyed it very much dispite this mistake. Little head with mild hoppy aroma. A very smooth amber ale. A decent amber ale

Thanks to Darkover for the trade. This brew is a clear amber-orange color with a medium thin and quickly dissipating off-white head. Thin and quick lacing. Mild aroma of hops. Medium-bodied and rather smooth with a tempered hops and malt flavor. The finish is smooth and lightly malty. As an Amber ale this falls a little short but it is a fair session ale thanks to the smoothness.

Clear copper with a semi-thick white head. Lightly hoppy crystal malt aroma. Dull, lightly sweet body has a mild crisp hoppy finish. Not bad for a standard amber. Clean and smooth.

Decent beer. Not great, not bad. I generally order Harpoon around Boston when they don't have anything great on tap. The hoppiness is more pronounced out of the tap, and the sweetness is downplayed a little. Also, I've experienced that the sweetness goes away a little when the beer is a bit warmer.
