Commercial Description:
Currently Thom’s Olde Ale is Harpoon Ale, our first beer.

The first in the Harpoon family of beers, our ale is a light amber in color, medium bodied, and well balanced. The slightly fruity aroma is from Harpoon’s special yeast.

Bottle. Poured amber with a fizzy off-white head that settles out to a ring. Nice caramel and honey aroma with a light hop and fruit background. The flavor has malt caramel with a slight fruit and grass touch. Light body and oily texture. Sweet throughout.

Bottle. Amber body, honey in the nose, small head. Honey and an unpleasant graininess. Once upon a time, this would have been considered good beer. How far we have come!

Bottle pours a clear amber color with a medium sized head. Fair amount of hops and malt in the aroma. Flavor is slightly sweet, some notes of honey and caramel. Little bit of a bite in the finish from the hops.

12 oz. bottle. Pours a hazy amber color with a medium long lasting off white head. Strong carbonation. The aroma is mild caramel malt and a touch of fruitiness. The flavor is much of the same with the addition of grass and floral sensations. Light on the palate. Nothing to exciting here.

On cask at the brewery. Pours hazy dark gold with a large bubbled thick head. Intense fresh hop aroma- tea and pine cones. Sweet floral medium hoppiness. Lots of rich honey flavors. Nice medium palate. Strong gypsum finish that leaves things a bit metallic. Smooth.

Copper color with a huge fluffy white head. Mild hops flavor with a hint of citrus. OK, but not great.
