Commercial Description:
Currently Thom’s Olde Ale is Harpoon Ale, our first beer.

The first in the Harpoon family of beers, our ale is a light amber in color, medium bodied, and well balanced. The slightly fruity aroma is from Harpoon’s special yeast.

12 oz. bottle from a "sampler pack" Dark golden color in glass mug, strong foamy head. Very thin mouthfeel, mild sourness and bittersweet flavors. Unassuming and non-threatening, this tastes like beer-flavored, slightly flat soda water.

12 oz. bottle. Pours gold with amber hues. Two finger foamy white head. Carmel nose with some fruity esters. Thin body with medium carb. Taste is carmel malt and fruit with a mild hop bitterness/flavor at the end. Pretty well balanced. Not bad, very sessionable.

Golden color; creamy head. Very simple Amber Ale, with just some caramel, and quite watered.

12oz bottle from Rustico. pale gold, very clear, thin white film of head. Aroma is all malty fruit. Thin mouthfeel, flavor is bready malt and a dry finish (with a hint of acidity?). Tastes like yeungling. And that’s not a good thing.

Fruity and balanced aroma and taste keep this average amber ale from becoming ordinary. Let this one warm up a bit and the balance between hop and malt becomes more evident

Poured light amber, clear, large head, fruity aroma. Malt background but hops bitterness prevails.

Poured a decent head. with hops in the aroma I was thinking this was going to be overly hoppy. I was surprised that it at first tasted of sweet malts, had a smooth mouthfeel with the slightest hop bite at the end. Thanks JB
