The first in the Harpoon family of beers, our ale is a light amber in color, medium bodied, and well balanced. The slightly fruity aroma is from Harpoon’s special yeast.

Very tasty! Mouth-watering hops melt into the malt. The Mass. Bay Brewing Co. in Boston has it all going on. End of story.

Spending time in Boston for many years, I fell in love with this perfectly balanced beer. One of the best of the bunch!

Very nice amber color, kept a great head throughout the bottle, nice balance, the hoppiness is very apparant, borderline to an APA almost, crisp clean aftertaste, great ale

Re-Rate:Tried it again this weekend and enjoyed every drop. Maybe I tasted a bad batch last time. Original Rating (3.1): Decent but I would not go out of my way to find some.

Had this one on draught in Manhattan, New York. Standard amber ale. Hoppy aroma, very little head, rich red color, overall, a textbook amber.

amber ale with quickly dissipating head making the glass look like I had alka seltzer... <G>.. The taste was good, though. I will be having more. (and probably today)

Dark yellowish color, big sturdy white head. Nice yet mild almost floral hop aroma. Flavor mildly sweet and somewhat fruity in an Englishy way, with American hop flavors, and medium bitterness. Easy drinking.
