Rather full-bodied, surprisingly salty with some accents of overripe fruit. A touch of sherry and a rather bitter finish. Not the world’s most sophisticated Barley Wine. 180807

May 7, 2007 Updated: Jun 26, 2007<i>Bottled, thanks jjpm74! </i> Clear deep golden. Tangerine aroma. Sweet and juicy, surprisingly slim for it’s high abv. Fruity and rounded with some syrup to with the citric hops. A well balanced cross of US and English style barley wines.

Aug 20, 2007 12 fl oz bottle. Pours hazy yellow with almost no head. Slight sweet malty aroma. Sweetish flavour, very wellhidden alcohol. Grainy note, slight pineneedle flavour. Warming finish. Not bad but not really great either.

Jan 16, 2008 Bottle, 10.3%. Very weak aroma for ABV, spicy tea? Hazy golden colour, very small white head. OK flavourful, teaish bonbon flavour. Some bitterness, slightly rough. Not good enough for this ABV.
