Ever craved one of those chocolate love massage kits from the local adult toy store? If you could have it in a bottle with enough alcohol to pack a buzz, wouldnt you be stoked? You can smell the chocolate syrup an arms length away as it pours with a big bubbled and lasting head. The big chocolate aroma is the only thing thats big here, as the promise of good things leaves you quickly disappointed. Well not really, as I had zero hope for this. I can say they exceeded my expectation of zero. The body is thin, like really thin. Some bitter coffee and the liquor thats in the chocolate covered cherries. This beer is awful, dont be fooled ino buying a Harpoon mixed 12 pack just so you can get this. They can do much better. thornecb (1816), Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA

Mocha colored micro head with excellent retention leaves spot sheets as it slowly recedes. Deep, dark chocolate and chocolate syrup aromas. Slightly sour dusty cocoa. Thin with a lasting chocolate finish. Butters (1658), Virginia, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Nov 19, 2008 First bottles just made available. Winter mix packs only. Dark brown pour with mahogany highlights. Nose of cocoa. What starts as a cocoa milk chocolate flavor fades into a bitter chocolate finish. Reminded me of a hershey’s milk chocolate candy bar in a glass! However, I sampled this at a tasting and they suggesting mixing this together with their raspberry UFO. Result: Chocolate Raspberry truffle. Best harpoon I’ve had. LilBeerDoctor (1546), East Setauket, New York, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 14, 2008 Bottle. Pours dark brown with a small light tan head. Aroma of Hersheys chocolate syrup and hot fudge. Very chocolatey! Flavor is less chocolatey, a little bland and muddled, very artificially sweet. Overall it is not such a good beer but I really like the aroma!

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 18, 2008 Bottle. An odd beer. Dry cocoa and chocolate milk are the predominant aromas and flavors. Really no malty notes to speak of, nor any hop presence. Hardly tastes like beer, but isnt bad tasting per se. Id market it as a chocolate flavored malt beverage. thenick (746), North Bellmore, New York, USA

What a mess....pours a gorgeous deep brown with a lighter-brown head. Aroma is slight Belgian chocolate without much else. Taste is chocolate up front with a weak, watery finish....I was bitterly disappointed by this.
