| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Apr 17, 2009 poured a mild brown hue with a tan head that had good retention. Aroma was of mild malt notes mainly a nutty profile. Flavor was of a nutty malt notes. It seemed very thin and all though easy to drink was over disappointing. imadeadguy (378), back in NJ!, New Jersey, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 13, 2009 12oz. Pour is mahogany with a small brown head for a 1/4 second. It looks like iced tea in the glass. Aromas of sweet malts, dark fruits, and slight hop presence. Flavor is hazelnut, earthy hops, caramel, and malt. Not bad and this one is definetly a "session beer" as per the label. FunkyBrewster (536), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Apr 5, 2009 Pours a clear medium brown color with a small off white froth. Aroma is bready and slightly nutty with some chocolate roasted malt. A tiny hop character is noticeable but very background to the toasted grain. Flavor starts with a crisp malt bite that is followed by a more mellow chocolate and grainy sweetness. Some maple and honey in the finish which is abrupt. Medium body and active carbonation. Not a great brown ale. Decent balance of sweet to bitter but too thin and weak. thegreenrooster (1848), St.louis, Missouri, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 1, 2009 Pour is a brown with a big tan head. Aroma is malty and bready. Flavor is deffinatly on the sweeter side with some roast flavor left on the tounge. Not much else to say other than its a better than average brown ale. adavis234 (137), Columbia, South Carolina, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Mar 28, 2009 12 oz bottle. Pours a clear, dark brown color with a quickly dissipating off-white head. A little bit of chocolate and malt in the aroma but not much there. Roasted flavor immediately hits the tongue when you take a sip but other than that there isn’t much to this brew. Not bad, but not great either. sallad (111), USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 25, 2009 Clear bronze, fizzy tan head. Sweet apple blossoms in the aroma, dark caramel, bit of cocoa and resin. Nice malt, not overly sweet but mildly balanced by hops and roasted grains. Perfect carbonation washes this brew across the tongue, coating the mouth with a long, nutty finish. jeremytoni (1127), Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 22, 2009 From a bottle poured brown with a good amount of head. Nice sweet malty flavor with a quick finish. popkow (116), New York, New York, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Mar 21, 2009 12 fl oz bottle poured a light brown ale with small head. Blend of malts bends this brew to a more seasonal ale rather then a true blue brown. Wheat notes with a spice finish.
