| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 3, 2009 Pours a dark amber color with a white forming head. Smell of hops which make me wonder if I’m rating the same beer. Taste of malts but not chocolate malts. Good flavor if your an IPA lover, kind of sweet. Overall I enjoy this one but am still left a bit confused by the info put out by the Harpoon brewers. jcr (1155), Jasper, Indiana, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 26, 2008 Bottle. Clear amber body with reddish highlights. Average fizzy beige head. The aroma is roasty with notes of toasted malt, weak coffee, chocolate and nuts. Some hint of resin. The flavor is lightly sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Moderate bitternes in the finish. Thin to medium body, watery texture. The label calls this a session beer. I can see drinking more than one of these.

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 24, 2008 Pours a transparent brown with a thin white head. Sweet aromas of caramel and chocolate. This is a very sessionable brew, but it might disappoint if you are looking for strong flavors. morrdt (608), Jacksonville, Florida, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 22, 2008 12 oz bottle; part of Harpoons winter 12 pack. Nice drinking, light brown with a tan head. A bit of nutty taste to it and a decent finish. Better than the other winter stuff they included. LilBeerDoctor (1505), East Setauket, New York, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 17, 2008 Bottle. Pours a clear light brown with a small light tan head. Aroma of sweet caramel malt, some apple juice, light roasted nuts. Flavor is rather juice-like, mostly like iced tea, with faint caramel malt in the finish. It is not terrible, but has a weak palate and is on the sweet side. Meh.

| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Dec 12, 2008 Bottle. Starts off looking strikingly light and transparent for a brown ale. Aroma very mild, weakly malty. Flavor has a fleeting hint of nuttiness and caramel hidden down in there, but the theme again is blandness, and not even just boring, ok blandness, more of a -wheres my beer- blandness. Not surprisingly, watery bodied. Pretty poor effort. mcox90 (637), Wilton, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 27, 2008 12 oz bottle out of Harpoons Wintry mix seasonal 12 pack. Pours a pale brown color with a small off white head. Nose is faint malt and grains. Mouthfel is on the thin side with light carbonation. Taste is light malt with some caramel and toffee. The key word being light. It is a session ale, says so right on the bottle. You could drink a bunch of them. blipp (1678), Newark, New Jersey, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 20, 2008 Bottle. Pours ruby brown with a thin off white head. Syrupy and malty aroma with light hops. The flavor is malty sweet with caramel, maple syrup, and some light hops to give balance. Not bad.
