Reddish amber pour with a thin white head. Malty nose with an earthy malt flavor to back it up and a bittersweet hop finish. Overall a bit bitter for the style, I thought, but not bad.

Bottle. Sweet syrupy caramel malt smell with some mild grain and lemon citrus, lots and lots of berries and fruit (candyish). Appeals to my childlike side. Dark amber pour with strong carbonation and big bubbles in a beige head. Basic malt taste with a dash of fruity candy, dries out significantly toward the end and finishes with a flourish of bread. Medium crisp body. A little too much grain/ash, which is certainly a detriment, but not a bad bar beer – would def have again.

Reddish pour with a big white head. Aroma was caramel malts and sweet fruits. Flavors were more caramel, grain, a bit of hops. Finishes a bit thin, nice carbonation.

12 oz. bottle. Pours red amber with fizzy/foamy white head. Nose is sweet caramel with slight grape and raising and a touch of anise. Taste is malty caramel and toffee with a mild burnt flavor. Also a sweet, black licorice note. There is a mile bitterness throughout with a dry, crisp hop finish, slightly bitter in the aftertaste. Interesting beer, a bit more complex than I expected. Rather tasty.

Amber color with tan head. Malty, fruity aroma. Caramel fruity flavor. Followed by a dry hops taste. Finishes crisp and clean.

From a bottle poured amber with a good amount of head. Nice flavor malty/hoppy, with a good finish.

Pours an amber body with moderate head and some lacing. The aroma was sweet and malty. I found this to be a very smooth beer but not quite as flavorful as I thought it might be. Could be because I was overpowered by Smuttynose Barleywine last night (10%) and this now seems watery. Either way, the flavor was sweet with some malts and very smooth. Good but not a great beer.
