| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Mar 23, 2008 12oz bottle. Faint aroma of brown sugar, blackberries (?), bread dough, cooked potato, soap and alcohol. Pours a nice looking red/amber with a thick white head. Dry on the tongue. Light toasted malt. Some sugary sweetness, asprin bitterness and dry and dusty hops. Fairly thin and watery. Meh... puboflyons (606), New Hampshire, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Mar 15, 2008 Poured from a 12 fl. oz (US) bottle - Windsor, Vermont brewery - with an expiration date of 05/15/08. I liked the reddish-amber pour. It was a nice color. Not a whole lot of off-white head but there was a bit of one for a few minutes. Fruity aroma. Fruity flavor. I don’t really notice the hops or malts but I certainly notice the sweetness. Average to above average. Good for St. Patty’s Day. DaveB (73), Holyoke, Massachusetts, USA
| 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 2/10 | 3/5 | 5/20 | Mar 13, 2008 On tap Amie’s in Easthampton. Dark amber and very cold. Tasted like cough syrup, not the good kind either. I should have ordered an IPA. thechandler (270), Morgantown, West Virginia, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 12, 2008 Pours a copper-amber with a thick white/off-white head. Aroma smells very much like your basic amber ale. Maybe even moreso, if that makes any sense. It definitely has that certain scent. Flavor has that same amber-ale flavor too. Not bad, just pretty much what you’d expect. Not under or over complex. Not under or over hopped or malted, but you can taste both. I’m not saying this beer has fantastic balance, just that it doesn’t have a lot of outstanding personality. But that doesn’t mean it’s bad. Its a very solid brew. Just nothing special PilsnerPeter (2617), Flushing, New York, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Mar 9, 2008 Bottle: Amber pour with decent clarity and an off white, fading head. Sweet malt aroma, mainly caramel. Body is well carbonated, not too much. Flavor has a sweet caramel aspect as well, with some toastiness as well. There’s a mild spiciness towards the finish to balance. Simple, but not as bad as the ratings suggest. JonnyC22 (164), Huntsville, Alabama, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 3, 2008 I think this beer is underrated, possibly because of its style. I found it warm with good carbonation; a mix between an IPA and a dull porter (which makes no sense). rodneykm (109), Westminster, South Carolina, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Mar 2, 2008 Absolutely no aroma to speak of but the appearance was really good. Flavor was nothing to write home about and the palate was just average. Won’t buy this again...but thats not to say its horrible. Just not my cup of..beer.
