| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | May 6, 2007 Bottle: Bright orange-red with a gigantic poofy head and a swirl of carbonation. The aroma is starkly green appley. That fruity tartness dominates the flavor, too, like a real tart and acidic green fruit. Would go nice with some mellow yellow cheese. Really not very good...Pours clear amber/copper with two fingers of rocky biscuit head. Aroma is some sweet malt, boiled egg, vanilla? Mouthfeel is kind of smooth but thin, lightly prickly. Taste is mostly weirdly egg-like, kind of metallic, maybe some hints of caramel and vanilla. Bitterness passes through in finish. Kind of a dud. scoobyluv (486), Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA

Ending is of rich malts and caramel with notes of earth and light fruits. JonR888710 (999), Cochabamba, Bolivia
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 11, 2007 Pours a hazy dark amber. Head is big, merengue like, shaded yellow. Smells of fresh hops, rye bread, caramel malt and cashews. Taste is doughy, toasted malt along with bright hops, harsh and bold on the palate. I like this beer ok, its just amazing how most red ales have upped the hop anty in recent years and wind up tasing like malt heavy APA’s than true red ales. I prefer it that way. sneagrams3 (1757), St. Louis, Missouri, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Apr 11, 2007 12oz bottle. Clear amber hue. Spotty large bubbled off-white head. Bready caramel aromas. Touch of melons and grass. Light to medium bodied. Bready and grassy flavors. Slow delayed bitter acidic hop finish. Low effervescence but still an acidity. Metallic and not very smooth. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Apr 10, 2007 Bottle. Copper color with a moderately lasting cream color head. Light caramel and strawberry jam aroma. Sweet honeyed and toasty malt flavor, with fruity berry notes and a slightly bitter tea-like finish and afterstaste. Medium bodied. Got more bitter and tannic as time went by. Not particularly terrible, but seems like just another ersatz Irish ale marketed specifically for St. Patrick’s Day.
