I enjoyed the aroma more than the flavour- it smells sugary, sweet and malty and a little like rye bread but doesnt taste very sweet at all. Instead it tastes bitter, foral, and a bit watery. pnista (1008), Bloomington, Indiana, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 29, 2006 Pours red yellow with a negligible head and plenty of bubbles streaming to the top. Is that a wheat beer I smell? Banana and cloves with apple juice overtones, sweet, and not much in the way of hops. This is relatively smooth, creamy, and a bit foamy, which is the biggest plus of this beer. The flavors are in line with the aroma. The wheat flavors are a little more subdued, and the floral hops become a bit more evident. Overall, this is quaffable. Cobra (1066), In a van, down by the river, Maryland, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Apr 25, 2006 12 oz. brown, longneck bottle. Bottled on 1/03/06. Not as fresh as it could have been then. Poured out a deep amber - reddish color, with a fast fading tan colored head. Aromas are of yeasty bread, sharp hops aroma, and some biscuit malts. Flavors are of strong malts, earthy hops, and plenty of lager yeast flavors. Medium mouthfeel, decent body. Not thin or watery. Decent finish, dry & malty. Good take on the style. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Apr 13, 2006 Love the brewery but feel thatb this one falls a bit short on the palate. Would like a little more depth but would not be down if I was served this at any function. tommy8768 (120), Litlle Compton, Rhode Island, USA

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Mar 30, 2006 Clear, dark copper/red pour with a somewhat lasting tan head. Sweet and malty aroma. Initial taste is a little murky, with some malt and dried fruit, but fades into a watered down, slightly hoppy finish. The fnish is weak and the aftertaste reveals an almost unpleasant sourness. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 30, 2006 Worst day I’ve had at my current job. I needed something to start the unwinding process so I crack the fridge and se a six pack of this. Pours a dark copper with a head that honestly disappeared before I could notice. I hate working with incompetent people that don’t know they are incompetent. And this turnip has children so he is polluting our gene pool. Loved the aroma, maraschino cherries all over the place, it made me smile even while thinking about the ass clown that caused me to do his and my job. Really not as sweet as I thought from the nose, it is a malt centric beverage, but is reigned in, like I had to be reigned in to keep me from telling the bastard at work if he can’t do a simple thing like take an order and ring it up without fucking up after 4 weeks on the job than he should start looking for something that doesn’t require the ability to talk and work at the same time. A bit tannic in the finish with a bit of tea flavor. The sugary flavor covers most of it up though. It’s a simple job, go to the table say hi, get their drink order bring the drinks, get their food order, turn order in bring soup and salad make the ticket, put out the other accoutrements that are needed and then later give them the ticket and cash em out when they are ready. So why can’t this throwback in the evolutionary chain do any of this. The fucker can’t even bus a table well. But the beer ain’t bad. Damn I have to work with him tomorrow.
