nothing really remarkable about this beer. Bought it with a mixed six pack. The texture of the beer on my palate definitely left something to be desired. It was pretty watery.

Was surprised by this in that I quite enjoyed this bottled Irish Red Ale. Fine redish amber hues, enough body for the style, taste on the slightly malty sweet side, dryer, crisp & fresh finish. A better version of Killian’s.

a pretty boring ale, very sweet, very malty...the dark amber body and cream colored head were the first indication that there were a ton of malts involved, and that premise held up the entire way through the glass. a sweet caramel nose, followed by a sweet caramel flavor, ending with a cloyingly sweet aftertaste...did i mention i thought this was too sweet?

I got this beer in my beer club. I have not been particularly impressed with the beers I have had from them before. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a light ruby mahogany color with a small tan head that faded quickly. The aroma was sweet and tangy sour malts. The flavor is light sour malts with a hint of ripe fruity and a tangy finish.

12oz bottle pours red with a short white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is caramel malts and slight hops. Flavor is sweet. Caramel, some peach, notes of peat, and it finishes with the weak hops. On the palate this is medium bodied but a little watery for my tastes. Leaves a sweet aftertaste.

12 oz. bottle. Dark red color. Small sized white foamy head, weak looking long lasting lacing. Aroma is caramel and fruit, kind of mild. A medium bodied Irish Ale. Malts are fruity and sweet. Hops are slightly spicy. Lots of malts, caramel and sweet. Touch of herbal hops, smoke and peet. Kind of sweet and seems a little thin. Drinkable, but not really my cup of tea. Mouthfeel is a touch thin and watery. Finish is clean and crisp. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

(12oz bottle, bottled on 1/25/05): Clear amber body topped by small beige head. Aroma is medium sweet, caramel, some anise, hint of metallic, peat. Taste is medium sweet, caramel, herbal hoppy, some bread. Light body. Drinkable but forgettable.
