Carbonated, transparent and an amber hue. Aroma was malty, caramel and light hops. The flavor was hoppy and that was pretty much all this one had in my opinion. The mouthfeel was tingly and the lacing was fair. Had a nice amber color. Aromas of caramel and molasses with a light hops presence. The body of the beer was very light and thin. Started with a light malty sweetness and had some hops bitterness in the finish. The flavors faded pretty quickly. This beer is what I would call a "bridge" beer. Something between a true microbrewery and a mainstream beer like Bud. Not bad but there are plenty of better ambers out there. haddon90 (1036), Alexandria, Virginia, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | May 25, 2004 A clear copper colored pour with a nice frothy white head. Some hops but aside from that nothing much in the flavor. thedm (3836), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | May 19, 2004 This bottled brew poured a large sized head of fine to medium sized off-white colored mostly lasting bubbles that left behind a fair lacing. The body was a softly carbonated transparent brown color. The aroma was a pale ale hoppy musty and strange one. The mouth feel was tingly with a acidic bitter feeling to it that lingered well into the finish. The flavor was a tad off with hoppy acidic notes mixed with a few dirty feet. brownaler (379), Topsail Beach, North Carolina, USA

| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | May 3, 2004 Nice amber color with a small rapidly disappearing head. Good hoppy aroma. Nice malt with a good caramel flavor. Texure is a tad on the watery side. Flavor leaves an odd aftertaste on second sip. Darkover (1313), Columbus, Ohio, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 19, 2004 Poured red/amber semi-clear with a minimal hop aroma. Tasted of yellow grapefruit with some woods/sweet in the aftertaste almost like cherry wood. Hops seemed stronger near the middle of the glass after it had settled a bit and the cherry wood became a bit more pronounced though not exceptionally so.
