Mar 31, 2003 In my opinion this is one of Harpoon's best beers. If you think that Killian's Red is what irish ale tastes like, then you need to give this one a try to see what you've been missing.

Jan 30, 2007 12oz bottle from Shaw’s. Amber-red translucent body with a little less than an inch of light tan head. Smells of malt and floral hops. Biscuit and caramel malt with some floral hop to support it. Creamy full mouthfeel. Pretty good ale. Nice malty ale.

Jan 26, 2003 Deep amber brown color with a medium thick head and good lace. Sweet amlty aroma and flavor with a touch of hopps and a sweet malty finish. Medium to full bodied.

May 22, 2007 O baby, this is a good beer. Sweet but not too sweet, drinkable, chugable just really good. A good style done well.

May 5, 2005 I just happened to catch this in some random Bennigan’s in MA and was pleasently surprised, considering what I had expected from one of the worst chains in the world. And I was also surprised to find that tis was listed as a simple Amber Ale; it tasted and felt much more complicated and satisfying- I almost would have guessed hyper-Veinna or something. Pretty darn tasty, but maybe I was just happy to have something decent.

Aug 7, 2003 Nice clear amber color, somewhat carbonated and bubbly. Rich malty flavor with the familiar harpoon sourness at the finish. Enjoyable red ale.

Jun 3, 2007 Updated: Jun 8, 2007Poured from bottle. Gorgeous reddish amber color. with white head Hops and malt in the aroma. Hops come alive in the flavor, with vanilla, nut and malt as well. Aftertaste has that burnt malt flavor, which I like. Sligtht lacing.
Impressive red ale that holds its own vs other Irish ales.

Feb 24, 2002 Very nice reddish color. A smooth red ale with a cold, clean finish. Enjoyable. Might be the best Harpoon yet.
