Cletus (5002), Connecticut, USA Nov 1, 2009 Pours straw color with a white head. Smells lightly wheaty. Tastes grassy and wheaty with a faint trace of sweet citrus on the finish. Butters (1622), Virginia, USA Sep 9, 2009 Bottle courtesy of Lithy. Pours a very clear gold with large, quick fading white head. Nose of light clean citrusy grains. Flavor is more intense than the aroma, with a bit of grassy hop and lemon. Certainly doesn’t stand up to it’s german counterparts, but not a bad brew. PorterPounder (3132), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Sep 7, 2009 Updated: Sep 8, 2009Rerate Bottles two and three were a tad bit better - still not overwhelming with flavor though. Original 2.3 Savannah, Ga. - Habersham Beverage Warehouse - 12 oz bottle. Light golden pour, no head. Stale, dank aroma. Boring taste - some fading lemons, a bit of baked bread. Mouthfeel - thinnish and uninspiring. Will try again as I bought a mixed summer 12 pak. CheersMate1 (770), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Jul 27, 2009 Orange/yellow in color. Fluffy head that fades away quickly. Nothing special in appearance, yet it is not bad either. Has a strong aroma of lemons, jeez. Smells like a cleaning solution...? Pungent beer, but in a slightly artificial and annoying way. Oh well... they tried. Lemon is dominating in the aroma, and in the flavor. The lemon phases out into some nasty almost raw tasting lemon. Seems like it should be sour or tart, but it is not. A SLIGHT lemon tart flavor at first, but then it quickly goes away. Overall, I think this beer over uses the lemon. It is just in your face, and seems a bit fake! Pastor (509), Maine, USA Jul 27, 2009 Bottle poured into a Weizen Glass it produced a short lived white head that changed to a thick lace. The body was a clear straw yellow in color.
The aroma was a light lemony citric smell that was very refreshing kind of like a Sprite in some ways. The lemon flavor didn’t quite work for it. I wish it was a little less sweet and had some more bitters. The feel was great as it was light and crisp so it wouldn’t be bad on a nice warm day.
It was light and crisp so easy to drink. If the I had been into the flavor I might have drank mor
