I get particular about that name, but not a reason not to like this. Sturgess (173), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA

The taste of malts and hops are balanced well.. starts with malts, finishes with hops. Not overly hopped which I expected it to be. Rather pleasant to drink... slightly bitter finish, but not in a bad way. EKGoldings (447), Radford, Virginia, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 19, 2003 Beer pours with nice head, nice amber color, nice nose, malt and slight hops, More malt and some bitterness on the tongue, they did not dry hop the heck out of this, but that is perfectly in style. A very nice beer, especially for people who are tired of assertively dry hopped APAs. beerguy101 (3971), Newark, California, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 15, 2003 Medium amber gold color. Medium head. Aroma is malty, slightly sweet. A medium bodied bitter. Malts are mild and a touch sweet. Hops are a little spicy. Not very bitter for an ESB. Mild and fairly flavorful. Well balance. Tasty, but more like an amber than an ESB. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter. raymow (738), Bensalem, Pennsylvania, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 30, 2003 Light to very-light amber, frothy head. Sweet malty nose with a tiny hops presence. Nothing too exciting herr, very normal and very authentic tasting ESB. Small hoppiness at the end to dry the sweet malty drink. Vac (2394), San Diego, California, USA
