Smells of pepper. Taste is much sweeter than I expect out of an ESB with a decent slightly bitter finish. muzzlehatch (4427), Burlington, Vermont, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Apr 20, 2002 Appearance: tawny red/orange, decent-sized but fast-fading head, slightly translucent; aroma weak, but some nice fruit and hop notes. Flavor really pretty boring; there’s some hops, some malt, but it all feels like there’s nothing at the center, like its just a surface with nothing inside. Somewhat bitter finish; little sweetness, medium body. Not a good ESB. beerguy101 (3946), Newark, California, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 15, 2003 Medium amber gold color. Medium head. Aroma is malty, slightly sweet. A medium bodied bitter. Malts are mild and a touch sweet. Hops are a little spicy. Not very bitter for an ESB. Mild and fairly flavorful. Well balance. Tasty, but more like an amber than an ESB. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter. ClarkVV (3578), Allston, Massachusetts, USA

MORE MORE MORE, thats all it needed. Dickinsonbeer (3497), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Oct 28, 2002 Decent ESB. Nice malty background with a good amount of hops but not enough for my liking. Also not enough bittering hops but still good. Nice and smooth and easy to drink. harlequinn (2745), Tacoma, Washington, USA
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Aug 15, 2004 A very typical and bland boring Haproon beer. Pours a amber color with a small fizzy head. Aroma is toasted, herbal and somewhat fruity. Watery and out of balance. Gusler (2655), Tucson, Arizona, USA

Nose is malt, top light, the finish is nicely hopped, dry, lightly acidic, and a good drinkable beer. Volgon (2490), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA
