Commercial Description:
Framboise, French for "raspberry", is a Belgian-style fruit lambic. Made with more than 4,600 pounds of raspberries, 50% wheat at a gravity of 14°p it has all the makings of a great summer time beer. Highly carbonated, it produces a wonderfully pink, lacey head. The burgundy color foretells of intense raspberry aromas. A nice, sweet start finishing with a tart and acidic finish that is light and refreshing.
Released again in late 2006 in 12oz bottles and draught.

the epitome of alcopop...massively sweet raspberry flavor...just a big sugary mess with nothing else there...felt more like i was drinking a soda than a beer.

Session #11:
Hazy reddish coloured body with a nice ruby tint and a thinnish off-white head that ends up fading fast. Nice aroma of pure raspberries, icing sugar, malt and some funky fruityness near the end that lingers. Light to Medium-bodied; Tart raspberry taste up front not showing much in the palate with a decent maltyness and a subtle sweetness. Aftertaste shows some puckering fruityness with some sugared sweetness and not much else. Overall, not a good beer - this one is lacking very much, even for a small-production fruit-beer. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from K&E Discount Beverage in New Paltz, New York on 24-December-2005.

Pours out a light reddish/pinkish/purpleish color with a small rose colored head. Aroma is very nice of raspberries, bread and some tartness...it was also suggested by a fellow taster that it smelled a bit like seaweed...and honestly I could see that. Anyway the taste totally lets you down. The aroma is good and then down the tubes it goes. Very watery, little to no flavor of raspberries, just some tartness/sourness and slight malt, but other than that this one was a let down

22 oz bomber from Pineypower thanks Dean. Pours your standard looking very ugly purple/brown body with a small lavenderish bubly head. Aroma was on with lots of raspberry puree aroma ontop of some grainy malts. Very thin body with average carbonation that makes this one feel more like a seltzer then a beer. The flavor reallly is a let down with lots of sourness and tartness apparent but no real fruit raspberrt coming through. Pllllllt total dropped ball on this one Harpoon.

Sampled at 2007 Brewnosers’ Christmas Gathering. About 2 years old at time of sampling. Amber colour with a pink tint and a light pinkish fizzy head. Aroma seems more strawberry than raspberry with some woody and earthy notes. Strawberry leads the flavour as well with some dry yeastiness and oak. Light bodied, dry but refreshing.

From a 750ml bottle, pours a deep reddish brown with a light white head and lace. Intense fruity aroma, light-medium body, slightly dry flavor balance where tart fruitiness dominates at the finish.
