Aug 24, 2008 Bottle: Clear golden pour and a small white head. Nose is smooth and sweet with plenty of citrus and caramel. Too bad the flavor gets muddled. Kind of chalky and a little soapy into some floral bitters. Ahhh, the smell was to good to be true. Thanks Matt.

Nice citrus aroma nut a stale woody flavor. Lacking by a couple dozen IBUs and much of any hop flavor.
Modest carbonation and a light bod.

Aug 23, 2008 Bottle: Clear gold with a stiff, white head. Nice hoppy aroma with a little skunky to it. The taste is a bit disappointing compared to the aroma. Hairspray hop flavors with a weird finish. Send this one back to Boston.

Aug 18, 2008 Updated: Apr 28, 2009On draft, clear golden yellow with not much of a white head when I got the glass. Aroma was light and sweet with hints of fruity hops. Light bodied with a good crisp bitterness. Not strong in any way but balanced and sessionable. Re-rate from a bottle, Light golden hazy color with a soft lasting white foam. Crystal malt aroma, citrus hops. Taste is more crystal malt, caramel, nice bitter hop finish some pine and citrus. Original rating 7:3:7:3:14

Aug 17, 2008 Sampled at the Flour City Brewers’ Fest 2008. Harpoon IPA is a sparkling, light golden ale with a thick, fluffy, white head. The head retention is excellent. The aroma is muted by the head. I’m picking up a slight note of banana, which is odd. It certainly smells fruity. It is medium light bodied, pretty smooth, a little metallic, and the finish is dry. It has OK bitterness and a touch of sweetness. There is a grassy flavor here. It’s pretty drinkable.

Aug 15, 2008 Bottle. Floral earthy nose with light amber appearance. Very mild, crisp IPA with slight bitterness. A satisfying mildly hoppy brew.
