Dark amber color with barely any head at all. Aroma is malty and too much to be honest. Not much on the nose as far as hops go. Flavor is creamy but just too malty for my liking in an IPA. Reminds me of a bass more than an IPA. jkaiser (220), Orlando, Florida, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Aug 11, 2008 A medium bodied IPA. Hoppy from the start. Crisp and refreshing. Copper color, little head and lacing. Not a lot going on in the flavor department when it comes to unqniueness. Good for IPA drinkers only. kiehlbuckeye (7), Prosperity, South Carolina, USA does not count | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 10, 2008 Bottle. Very clear, copper/ golden ale, floral hoppy aroma. Bitter, but not overpowering, hoppy and faintly fruity. Good beer, but not a great great ale or anything, though I would highly recommend it. | 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Aug 9, 2008 Pours gold in color with just a slight froth of head forming on the pour. Smell is very floral hops. Taste is less of the hops, but a balanced ale. Easy to drink and non-cloying. Decent session beer, but nothing great. gameface23 (131), Haverhill, Massachusetts, USA

OLD REVIEW: On tap. Poured a transparent, pale gold with a small, creamy head that didn’t last long but left a small bit of lacing on the glass. Smell was sweet with floral notes, but it didn’t impress me. It tasted better than it smelled, with sweet start and a hoppy finish, but the thin texture detracted from it.

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 5, 2008 Pours a copper gold into the glass with a thin white head. Aroma is citrus and pine. The flavor is a bit sweet with some wit like flavors of corriander. Some hoppiness towards the back end reminds you that this is an IPA, but to me it seems more comfortably categorized as an American Pale Ale jeckenroth (81), Charlestown, Massachusetts, USA

The pour is amber with a hint of red. Small white head that was short lived.
Smells very hoppy at first, floral with a touch of citrus.
I was expecting more of a hop flavor from the aroma but it was watered down, even faint. It came off bland to me, but I perfer a nice kick of hops. Malty with a touch of sweetness to finish.
A good solid beer, but nothing I would go out of the way to find on tap. SilkTork (4184), Rochester, Kent, England
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 5/5 | 5/10 | 5/5 | 14/20 | Aug 4, 2008 Beers of Europe. A restrained American IPA. Pleasant citric hops. It falls in line with other pale hoppy American beers - a little hoppier than a regular APA but not as hoppy as a regular IPA. It’s clean (filtered) and crisp (force carbonated). It lacks character, but it’s a fine tasty beer. Quite dry. In many ways it’s like a Czech lager - though the malt is a little different tasting, and the hops are obviously more citric, the characteristics are all there. Not a beer to get excited about in terms of craft, character, individuality, originality, charm ,etc, but it slips down easy and is pleasantly tasty. I liked this.
