The flavor is reserved and slightly thin for an IPA. Has a piney, citrusy flavor. Very drinkable. mreeves (257), Sammamish, Washington, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 20, 2007 A very mediocre, uninteresting IPA. Seems to be available all over Boston, and at least it’s a much better beer than most others available around town. Very light color for an IPA, white head that dissipates fairly quickly. Too light on the hops for my taste, and just nothing to get excited about here. TomDecapolis (3195), Skippack, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Apr 20, 2007 On tap at Legal Seafoods in Boston. Pours a tanslucent golden with a lighter amber highlights and a small off white lacing head. Aroma of sweet caramel and toasted malts. Some lighter citrus from the hops. Flavor of an up front but not over powering hop flavor and light pine. Malts are also up front with a toasted sweet caramel. A bit thin and would like more hop flavor in my IPA’s. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 20, 2007 In the bottle. Thanks to Bill B. Really good stuff when you’ve had 18 imperial stouts right before. Orangey copper in color with a yellow beige frothy head that leaves trabeculae of lacing. Cut green grass aroma is mildly present. Hop citrus also hangs around. Pleasant medium grapefruit bitterness. Clean finish. I’ll try this again when sober. Nihon (240), Vernon, Connecticut, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Apr 18, 2007 Pine aroma. Bitter flavor, kind of like a lemony grassy seltzer? Right at the end I noticed almost a hoppy soapy flavor. Pass for me.
