| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 2, 2009 12oz. bottle, with thanks to 46er3498 for the bonus. Pours a lighter brown with a nice tan head. Aroma is roasty malts, chocolate, and dark fruits. Flavor is more roasty malts, molasses, dark fruits and a spicy finish. Could actually stand a little less carbonation on this one, otherwise an enjoyable, easy drinking baltic porter. Thanks again Tom!

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 11, 2009 Bottle from j12601, thanks Jay. Pours a deep brown color with some dark ruby edges when held to the light and an inch thick, bubbly khaki head that slowly faded to a bubbly layer that left some spots of lacing. Aroma of roasted malts, some chocolate, a light earthy hoppiness, and some soft hints of dark fruit. Smooth, moderately sweet entry with some light chocolate that leads into a strong roasted malt character and some light molasses sweetness and a faint hint of fruit that finishes lightly dry with some astringency and a bit of lingering roast. Moderate carbonation and decent mouthfeel. Although there is a very faint fruitiness in the flavor, it is not close to others in it’s class and it fails to round out the flavor profile. Overall, a decent beer that is pretty drinkable considering the ABV. Thanks Jay. jcwattsrugger (5333), Florida and, New Jersey, USA
