| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 30, 2009 Yes, yeasty aroma plus notes of plum, with a thin white head, a cloudy rust brown or maybe orange, explodes with figs, spice and banana, nary a trace of the strong alcohol present. Very nice balance, with a bit of dryness to offset the fruity malt. MartinT (5055), Montreal, Quebec, Canada
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 17, 2009 My Bottom Line:
Doughy yeast, pear esters and caramelized cereals converge in this mighty fine Quadrupel, coherently leading to a delicate finish of peppery alcohol and plum-like edges.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A creamy sheet of foam decorates the cloudy purplish brown.
-The doughy yeast presence might be a tad too prominent in the flavor profile for this to be a world-class example of the style.
-The fruit personality is diverse; from pears to cherries to prunes to raisins, etc.
-The plump body is a great feature, its heft alleviated by a wealth of tiny bubbles.
-Some roastiness is offset by the alcohol warmth.

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 13, 2009 The last bottle of the night at Toby’s house- wow what a night it was. Pours a dark amber color with a small white head. The aroma is interesting; sweet banana esters, rich malts and yeast. A warm flavor, lots of spicy Belgian yeast and candies, fruity and fairly dry. Potent sour white grape and cherry aroma with powdered brown sugar and loads of dried fruit. Hazy chestnut with clots of trub (my bad pour?) and a lasting, off-white flannel blanket. Sweet toffee with some sour dried fruits and tobacco as well as brown sugar. A dry bitterness comes in with a little ethanol to balance the initial sweetness. Peppery herbal notes as well. Medium body, medium carbonation, lasting dry bitterness in the finish. Radek Kliber (3948), Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), Ontario, Canada

Appearance: good , deep ruby with amber , mid plus top. 4- Nose: soft for style , wheat , yeasty , aromatic with almond-vanilla feel. Warm malts with smooth alcohol.7+ Flavor/Palate : Frontal softness with good blend of wheat and yeasty character. Neatness of high end vodka, smooth solid brew.
