Ultra-clear straw yellow color. Huge champagne bubbles. Retention of this big, white head is great. BIg gobs of lace.
The flavor is earthy (ie. dirt) malt taste; grainy. Bitter, grassy Euro hops. A real bitter, herbal finish. Some medicinal, slightly astringent/sour qualities.
Creamy feel like juice, but fizzy and bubbly. Has a distinctive bite at the swallow. Makes it a nice sipper. Strong: a bitter "pils" to swallow. shigadeyo (2263), Harrison, Ohio, USA

Aroma: Lemony citrus hoppines, light malt. Appearance: Golden (slightly pale), very clean and clear, small white head. Flavor: Pine, spruce and resin, a bit light, good balance with the bright maltiness, alcohol completely missing from the flavor. Palate: Medium light, a bit sharp but acceptable for the style. Overall: I like it. I like it quite a bit actually! This is a really well-done Pils!

Pours a clear golden with a large frothy white head that leaves behind good sticky lacing along the glass. The aroma is caramel malt and bubblegum. Medium mouthfeel with a bitter floral hop taste and nice bitter finish. Alcohol present but not overpowering. A very good strong lager from harpoon. Tmoney99 (4736), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA

Poured clear pale color with a large frothy white head that was lasting and produced good lacing. Good moderate grass hop and sweet malt aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Moderate sweet flavor with with a moderate sweet finish of moderate duration.
Nice drinkable beer. BuckeyeSammy (455), Cleveland, Ohio, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 10, 2009 Clear straw color with a tallish popcorn colored head. Decent lace. Appearance = 3+. Pale malt, dough and floral to grassy hops aromas. As it sets for a minute, I have a real pils aroma, malt and hops mix with just a hint of herbal and nobel hops. I am not catching the alcohol and grain I find in many of ESLs. Soft malt and caramel flavors. Floral hops with light orange blossom honey join in the middle. Quite crisp in feel for the heft. Finish is also quite crisp. I catch a bit of apple peel in the linger along with some salty popcorn. An outstanding malt liquor. A very good strong lager with pils tendencies. The finish starts to wear on the palate as it warms. About 10 ounces would have been perfect. Maverick34 (701), New York, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 7, 2009 Pours a cloudier gold. Taste is very sweet for a Pilsner. Almost more of a saison or something or even a bock. Well done, i just wish they didn’t call it pilsner. jhumphries69 (726), Tyrone, Georgia, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Aug 7, 2009 Draft at Taco Mac. Pours cloudy amber brown with a thin white head. The aroma is pungent and awesome - loads and loads of caramel, malts, soft esters (hints of bubble gum). It has a tasty, deep malty flavor with a soft, spicy bitterness in the finish. Very full-bodied. Overall - surprisingly delicious.
