Good balance in this one. Hops not overdone. Medium mouthfeel. Pretty good. MereLikesBeer (154), Royal Oak, Michigan, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 13, 2009 I shared a bottle of this with BeerBaron617. It poured a nice coppery yellow color with a tan head. Transparent and slightly bubbly (carbonated much?)...and...it’s not so bad. It has a nice sweet hoppy aroma. Taste, well it is incredibly hoppy. Plain and simple it’s quite bitter, but has a slight aftertaste of some fruit - grapefruit and maybe mango. Alright, but not my favorite. Braudog (3770), Dayton, Ohio, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Aug 9, 2009 Bottle - very pretty opaque copper-orange beer with a creamy, thick foam head. The aroma is fairly subdued with just a hint of citrus. But this drinks with a nice woodsy, juicy hop character, with a full, creamy mouthfeel. Very good! | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Aug 8, 2009 Pours copper semi clear with off white head. Nice mixed hop aroma and flavor. I bit of alcohol in the aroma and no big standout aromas. The taste is a bit alcoholic with a nice bit suitable for the IIPA style. This is definitely a decent beer, but did not find anything too interesting or outstanding about it. beernovice39 (286), South Carolina, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 7, 2009 How can this be rated so high? I am left to assume I must have no taste. This beer was almost clear copperish in color. Kinda like an off red water. Taste is kinda weak but enjoyable....I mean its not bad just not great. bconger (78), Birmingham, Alabama, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Aug 6, 2009 Bottle. Copper pour with a medium, creamy head and good lacing. Immediately hit with big, piney hops and some warm spice. Bitter orange and grapefruit rind on top of honey maltiness. Boozy, sharp finish. Maybe it’s just that this is the first DIPA I’ve had in awhile, but I’m really enjoying this beer. chicagodri (1060), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Aug 6, 2009 Slight hazy orange with a white head. Heavy citrus aroma with a little bit of pine. Strong hop presence and a fair amount of bitterness, but still able to drink it easily. Very good. Elwood (677), Leesburg, Virginia, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 4, 2009 Serving: 12 oz. bottle.
Appearance: Slightly hazy, deep orange with a monsterous creamy, white head. Great lacing left behind.
Aroma: Heavy pine and a citrus hops, light perfume, and grapefruit.
Taste: Boozy sweet citrus on the palate with a little grapefruit, floral notes, and caramel.
Palate: Medium, smooth carbonation with a medium-rich mouthfeel. Medium, sweet finish.
Overall: A visual stunner. A good DIPA but a little on the sweet side.
