Smells good but looks way to clear and filtered. Harsh, astringent and alcohol hot tasting. Not smooth and not an easy drinker. Will try again though to see if I’m mistaken. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Jun 7, 2009 This is a monster of an IPA here, great hop balance, tasty lingering after taste that brings you back for more and the malts just add to the perfection. Enjoy this one folks. ajbitt (46), , Indiana, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 5, 2009 Aroma: earthy, sage, rosemary, lemon grass, PINEY. Apperence: Standard, on the light side IPA. Flavor: Slightly sweet, nice Cascade hops (not bitter hops), rich for a very short finish. Palate. Smooth, buy VERY brief finish.Clean finish. Shorter experience than any other IPA finishes. Overall Impression: Great beer, just too short in the overall finish. You can drink this beer like some sh!tty light American light beer and get drunk fast. bigwilliestyel (8), Virginia, USA does not count | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Jun 5, 2009 Bought this at the Whole Foods down the street and notice that it has a 120 IBU rating. This is a monster of an Imperial IPA though the hoppiness is definitely not as prominent as I typically like ( DFH 120). If you’re looking for a solid Double IPA that will definitely stand up to the competition but not stand out this beer is for you. Would definitely get it again. BigBang (215), Indiana, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 2, 2009 This one doesn’t really do it for me. It is way too malty for my DIPA taste. Aroma is more malt than hops. I taste the hops more but the malt flavors overpower. The soapy flavor is not that pleasant. Could have been nice.

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 2, 2009 12 ounce bottle. Pours a rusty amber golden, with a soft white head. The nose is ripe with with pine and tangerine. Plenty of robust caramel malts too. The flavor is full of pine and malt goodness, and it is as bitter as bitter gets. Medium body with ample carbonation and a balanced finish. Good stuff. Coltrane (108), South Carolina, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 1, 2009 Very nice IPA, although a bit sweet with not enough hop bitterness to counteract it. Nice citrus/flower taste and smell, but it doesn;t quite cut through the Double IPA market. Certainly well worth trying though. But a 4 pack is more than enough. antzman (313), Clarksville, Indiana, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 31, 2009 12 oz bottle. Pours a medium gold with a decent sized white frothy head. Excellent lacing on the glass. The aroma was pretty light, almost disappointingly so. Little bit of citrus. The taste was really good though. While not a huge IPA, it had a great balance of malt and hops, while still ending with a great bitter taste. Good mouthfeel, very smooth. If the aroma had been better, this would rate as a great IPA.
