Bottle Pours a hazy yellow-orange with an off white head. The head laces well and seems to last good also. Has a good hoppy aroma, I get juicy fruit gum, citrus, and subtle malts. Has a good carbination and a good mouthfeel. The flavor is good and hoppy. Has an oily texture. A good blending the alcohol is well hidden. Has a good bitter finish and a good solid aftertaste. This is a good DIPA.

12oz bottle. Pours a hazy dark yellow/orange with a small white head. Aroma of fresh hops and citrus. Lots of bitter hop flavor with an emphasis on pine and oily resin. A faint malt backing adds a touch of sweetness to the finish. Alcohol is noticible, but not overwhelming. Thinner mouthfeel than expected. Solid overall.

Semi-hazy gold with a thin white head. Aroma is citrusy with aditional fruity notes. Taste is tannic and bitingly bitter with drying resinous finish and lingering alcoholic notes. $2/12oz

Bottle from Premier. Pours nearly clear deep gold with a sticky head that drops. It looks a bit viscous and heavy for an IPA. smells of peach and resin . Tastes definitely hotter than the Stone IPA I just had! Has some hints of barley-wine like character toffee and fruit and dry hops edge and looong austere bitterness that is not overly dry (I like it!!) Hey, this is my first DIPA folks! The alcohol is racing to my head... but it is a huge part of the harmonized flavors, My favorite thing is looking at it and smelling it though. Man you guys like bitter-tasting beer. - slight re-rate - I came back to this later and the strength of the alcohol is perfect with the hop profile. Better palate, much better overall... better betterness!

12oz bottle from goldtwins, thanks Larry. Decent hop aroma, slightly faded. Very nice smooth hop bite, it’s there, but in a real subdtle, delicious way. Bright orange pour with a nice white head. Pretty tasty.

12 oz bottle poured into a tulip. Orange/light amber in color, with small off-white head that leaves nice lacing. Aroma of piney resinous hops. Taste is initially a big hop bite, lots of pine and grapefruit, with slight sweet malt. Much more hop bite than malt backbone, so not terribly balanced. Tastes more like a west coast DIPA. Medium mouthfeel with crisp carbonation. 10% alcohol very well hidden, you wouldn’t know it was that strong. A pretty good DIPA, not as sweet, malty, or balanced as I would like, but it’s a hop-head delight!

Orange to amber in color. Taller, small bubbled, cream colored head. Green grass and citric hops dominate the nose. Hints of caramel and pale malt in the background along with a sniff of pine and light fruit. A sharp malt and grain start. Ripe plums and peaches are greeted and tossed aside by pine needles and grapefruit pulp. Hints of alcohol if held in the mouth too long. Bits of toasted pecans and pralines near the finish. The flavors seem to jump around. Some nice lingering thought of toasted malt and a bit of oak. Seems a bit disjointed, but this should not disappoint many hopsheads.

Bottle from Champanes in Warren, sampled in a Kuhnhenn tulip glass, has a copper pour with some amber and orange colors, I see some small particles floating around in the brew, provides a head of white and off-white variable sized bubbles, this brew appears to be viscous (bubbles float slowly to the surface), leaves medium lacing on the glass, aromas of orange, lemon citrus and grapefruit hops with malt and fruit sweetness along with toasted malt, good hop pine bitterness and citrus with toasted malt, malt sweetness, orange and lemon fruit flavors, hops appear to be a little more out front than the malt, hop bitterness is good after the finish and persists afterwards, nice mouth feel, no alcohol aroma, a hint of the 10% alc. on the palate but the alcohol is hidden well until the beer is room temperature, a pretty good offering from Harpoon.
