On tap at The Barley Oak, Mandeville, LA. Pours a medium amber color with a medium sized fairly persistent head. Nose is floral and slightly fruity. Extremely flavorful with hops and malt battling it out for dominance with a result that’s ultimately an excellent balance. Hops finally win the battle and provide a hop-head finish. This is really good stuff!

Amazing amber color with a surprising smoothly sweet start on the tongue with a sharp pang of the strong hop overtones that shortly followed. Certainly best enjoyed during a cool Autumn evening in a small glass, as this is definitely a sipper to be relished for a long time.

Smooth and silky, this is one of the finest imperial IPA’s I’ve had. Big citrus and grassy taste. Low head, golden-red. Some herbal notes on aftertaste, bitter. Alcohol high but subtle.

sampled on draft at the Rivertowne Inn in North Huntingdon PA this beer poured a dark orange-amber color with a medium sized white head that faded quickly. The aroma was strong tangy piney hops with a touch of catbox. The flavor was strong piney and resiny hops with a touch of catbox and lemon. There was a tangy and sweet malt base and a very long hoppy finish. The body was thick and syrupy.

Pours rust orange. huge citrus hop notes on the nose with a deep bitter but balanced hop citrus feel on the entire mouthfeel. Long crisp finish.

Bottle. Golden pour, nice frothy orangeish head. Smells very citrusy - grapefruit for sure. Biting hop bitter nose. First taste is just plain bitter. Not too bad, very hoppy. Great deal for the price.

@Freaktoberfest, almost sure this was the one since it was a Double IPA by harpoon, pours orange with a medium bubbly head, aroma of grapefruit, pine and marmalade, flavor is rather dry and zesty with some grapefruit and vinous notes, bitter pleasant finish, complex almost full bodied and satisfing.
