Moderate grapefruity hop aroma, slight alcohol. Malts come out a little just prior to a very citric hop middle and nice finish. The aroma suggests astringency, but it never really materializes in the taste. Decent. CelticBrew (713), The Crystal Coast, North Carolina, USA

Poured from 12 oz bottle a clear light coppery hue, as large craggley white head of foam forms. Aroma of malted hops, grapefruits and mango fruits. Flavour of thick juicey tropical fruits as hops come to add bitterness balance. Simply great beer, Harpoon really hit a homer with this batch. Incredible! doboy (206), Morehead City, North Carolina, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 2, 2009 Pours an orangish yellow, clear and clean with a white head that disappeared and left a lace around the edge that was nice. Hops aroma could have been stronger. Nice hop taste that doninates the mouth. Nice big bittering on the back side. Very full mouth feel!. A good IDIPA!

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Oct 1, 2009 Lots of big resinous hops, but a little bit rough around the edges takes a little bit of the enjoyability out of it. angrypirate06 (781), Texas, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Sep 30, 2009 Bottle. Clear copper color with a quickly receding white head. Aroma is grassy hops, citrus. Flavor is astringent, bitter. You could taste the alcohol in this one decently well, still pretty hot. Aubrey (2781), Denver, Colorado, USA

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 30, 2009 Bottle at Monk’s Café, Wallingatan Hazy copper to amber color; medium creamy head. Excellent hoppy aroma, perfumy and fruity (oranges, bitter oranges), a bit earthy and sweaty too, very light cheese touch. Good body strength and mouthfeel, round; strong caramel flavor, with the necessary residual sweetness; strong hopping, first oily, but resiny and fruity as well. Powerful and long final. No surprises (an Imperial IPA as we had many already), but very solid. Rustyham (585), miami, Florida, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 29, 2009 thicker than most impy IPAs, but the flavor is general and unexciting. Good, but I’d rather go with soemthing that will stand out. Bottle at 2nd Annual Treasure Coast Beerdest in Ft. Pierce, Fla.
