The hops remind me of apple cider and autumn. Hm. Flavors is unmistakably hoppy. Strongly bitter, but in a good way. Crisp and bold. Lots of background fruit notes within the bold hop-malt character. Nice. biznizness (952), Mooresville, North Carolina, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 17, 2009 Very good DIPA. Very malty for the style, very sweet. A little bit too syrupy and sticky for my liking. Thumbs up. imusbeer (4), Lawrenceville (Atlanta), USA does not count | 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Sep 16, 2009 Home 12oz bottle

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 15, 2009 Pours a hazy orange with some light and soft carbonation. The head is white with a slight hint of a yellow tint. The smell is certainly piney and resin-like, with just a hint of grapefruit. The taste is also quite piney, with a very hoppy up front taste. The bitterness is a bit mellowed out by the malty backbone that has some semblance of caramel. The palate is left more with the initial piney flavor with the malts receding to the background as they should. This one is quite an enjoyable addition to my list of double ipas. afireinside96 (839), Mountville, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 13, 2009 12oz bottle served in a snifter. Lightly hazed gold with a creamy off-white head. Smells of pine and pineapple with a spicy kick to it. The flavor is like an amped up Stone IPA but not as dry. Notes of pine, grapefruit, pineapple, caramel. Very tasty and quite balanced. The finish has a bit of alcohol to it and a deep lingering bitterness. The body is a bit sticky but not overbearingly so. This one’s a winner for sure. cprochak (421), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Sep 12, 2009 12 oz bottle from total wine. Pours clear gold, white head with good lacing. Funky grapefruit aroma with a touch of vanilla. Super sweet malty backbone with a mild bitter finish. A great beer but far from a hop bomb. A bit too sweet to drink more than one but a solid IIPA. Radek Kliber (3986), Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), Ontario, Canada
