12 oz. brown, longneck bottle. 2009 batch. Poured out a clear golden yellow color, with a massive head. Aromas are of resinous hops, grapefruit & pine trees. Flavors are mostly hops, slight malt flavor. Medium mouthfeel, decent body. Alcohol is well hidden, but it does sneak up on you.

Pours a straw/amber color. Light carbonation with little head. Aroma is slightly hoppy. Taste is sweet, orangey and hints of alcohol. Heavy bitterness about the middle of the finish. Bitterness lingers quite a bit.

Bottle:   Pale coppery amber, fairly clear, large frothy off-white head, nice lacing, light carbonation.   Semi-sweet floral citrusy hop goodness.   Seems to also have a decent malt presense, perhaps even a little caramel like.   Resiny citrus beginning, caramel malts and soft floral hops on the back side.   This one is nice, not overly hopped with some decent malts.   I wouldn’t mind it being a little maltier, but I am fairly happy with it as is.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate to full.   Finishes clean, lingering citrus peel with pale caramel malts.   Fairly good stuff.   Thanks Jeff!

Orange, a bit hazy, white head, faded quickly. Heavy caramel nose, citrus as well. Nice balance to this one, toffee palate, absolutely no alcohol presence detected, Very enjoyable.

Draft at Mad Mex South Hills. Deep orange pour, thin ring of white foam, decent lacing. Lots of tropical fruit in the nose, more sweet than anything. Flavor is initially sweet, lending to mango and aspirin and finishing very bitter. Palate is remarkably thin for how sweet this is.

This ale poured a cloudy dark yellow colour with a nice big, bright white, foamy head. To the nose there are scents of orange and lemon citrus, spruce and grass. Very hoppy notes. First swig was smooth and creamy with a real hopp bite at first. Flavours of pineapple citrus, grass and a little juniper kick you in the mouth at first sip. Tapering off to a hoppy bitter flavour that lasts forever.

Hazed & infused golden amber with a fluffy off-white head. Aroma of grapefruit, floral and citrus hops, honey and a nice caramel malt backbone. Taste of a citrus burst up front that holds throughout with tangerine, sweet malt, orange, alcohol and caramel malt. Some mild floralness seeps in and it finishes up dry and moderately bitter.

resin-y aroma with lots of fresh warm spicy hops and a caramel-y sweetness. slightly hazy, orange-amber, with medium rocky offwhite head. flavor is more timid, a mildly bitter fresh hop with lots of pine and apricots. body is slightly on the thin side, as is carbonation, with a decent bitter finish. overall this is pretty good, but not the most "imperial" iipa i’ve had.
