Bottle. Pours dark ruby, off white head. Aroma is caramel, malt: smells chewy. Flavor is caramel, malt, vanilla, some roasted nuttiness. Not bad.

12 oz bottle. BOTM. Dark brown with an off-white head. Caramel, chocolate aromas. Smooth flavors, nothing overpowers. Very good example of german style lager.

This beer pours black with a thin tan head. Lot’s of toasted malt and chocolate. The flavors are pretty much the same. Not a great beer, but not a bad one either. Get one and enjoy! Cheers!

dark beer with a normal head that last. Hint of chocolate. Very refreshing taste. I don’t taste the bitterness others have commented on. A very good beer but perhaps not outstanding

deep reddish brown with a nice tan creamy head. excellent grainy maltiness in the nose almost has a metallic quality to it if that makes any sense...I’m not sure it even does to me! Flavor is also very malty with some prune and hints of chocolate in the flavor. a very nice dunkel overall!

Bottle and served in standard pint glass: Mahogany hued with fading frothy head and spotty lace. The aroma is massive caramel and liquorice, toast, light fig, grassy hops, and a hint of mineral water. The taste has a nice balance of sweet malt and twangy fruit with a snappy noble bitterness in support. The mouth feel is soft and a tad watery, metallic dryness on the finish. A pretty good Dunkel if you ask me, I almost finished the whole pint glass before I typed in my rating.

Pours a deep brown, almost black. NIce head. Aroma for some reason smelled like fish. Full body, malty, nice hoppiness at the end. In the end, nothing really special.
