Poured a very dark red/maroon with an aroma of caramel and toffee. Flavors of toasted malts with a touch of hops. The balance is good, and overall it is quite flavorful.

This Munich dark pours a really dark red with a tan head. The aroma is of fruit, molassas and a little citrus. First sip has the flavor of roasted malts with a little coffee thrown in. Finish is hoppy with a slight bitterness. Thanks for the trade JB.

Pours a deep brown with tons of amber notes and a medium/bubbly off white head that left some lacing. Aroma of molasses, toffee, sweet malts and caramel. Flavor of toasted malt, light roast, chocolate, dark fruits and a touch of hop flavor.

12 oz bottle at Stockholm Beer Festival 2007. Dark reddish brown color with small head. Chocolate, dark fruits and cola in the aroma. Sweetish malty and caramelly flavor with raisins, figs as well as some toasty and nutty notes.

Pours a dark brown color into the dimpled mug. There was an inch of fluffy, off-white head. Ringlets of lace stuck around. Scents of yeast, malt and scotch. Very chewy and thick, with hints of chocolate, cinammon, malt and some burnt/smokey flavor. A drinkable, enjoyable dunkel.
