Aroma is of malt and slight of roasted malt. Some hop, but not much. Flavor is light of malt with a roasty undertone. Some coffee and very faint hint of chocolate. Mildly bitter. Finish lingers with some medium hop bitterness. This is not an exceptional beer, but is is easy drinking. Worth finishing the 6-er... :) FROTHINGSLOSH (2038), GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer pours a very dark brown color with a small tan head. The aroma is sweet toasted malt. The flavor is light roasty malts and coffee. It is mildly sweet with a crisp floral hop undertone. The finish is roasty. The palate is moderately smooth. Cletus (5059), Connecticut, USA

Smells of cherries, bananas, and oak. Tastes of brown sugar, malt and chocolate with a smooth finish. Crisp mouthfeel. Interesting full textured beer for Harpoon. gws57 (1148), Saint Charles, Illinois, USA

Pleasant, lightly sweet taste of of roasted malt. Nice hop finish. Kind of a dark version of a lager. beerbuzzmontreal (2931), Montreal, Quebec, Canada

Aroma of malt and brown sugar. Flavor of malt, burnt caramel and brown sugar. The body is light to medium with an oily and sticky texture and moderate carbonation. A good and honest dunkel, a solid effort from a brewery that hasn’t impressed me yet.
