KawaBomber (130), New Jersey, USA Jul 14, 2008 22oz Bottle: Brownish red w/ a small off-white head. Aroma when first poured is bigtime piney hops. After it settles a bit & warms you start to get some nice roasty caramel malts. Flavor is lightly roasted malts, caramel, a hint of milk chocolate & surprisingly lacking those hops I smelled right after the pour. Really smooth & enjoyable. Glad I grabbed this one. fishingnet (711), Brandon, Florida, USA Jul 9, 2008 Bottle courtesy Gillard. Pours a clear amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of sweet malt, caramel, and a hint of chocolate. Taste is hte same as aroma. Medium thin mouthfeel with a mild amount of bitterness.
nearbeer (1076), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Jun 25, 2008 650 ml. Copper-chestnut with a medium and lasting head. Aroma is cola and slight corn. Molasses, cola, slight apple, and roasted nut on the front, with some earthy leaf and smoked vegetable coming in shortly and finishing dryish. Medium body is mostly smooth and turns almost chalky-dry after a bit. heemer77 (3609), North Liberty, Iowa, USA Jun 25, 2008 I had this with iowaherkeye and pepsican. While not impressed, I was not quite as turned off by the smell. The body was ruby brown with a khaki head. The aroma was softly malty with some cola. There was also some moss and a little hint of smoke. There was also a little bit of moldy paper. The taste was malty with some moss and toffee. A little bit of iced tea and some gum also came to play. A strange one indeed. pepsican (640), the beer wastelands of, Iowa, USA Jun 25, 2008 Ruby pour with a thin off white head. Aroma is tootsie rolls, grain, and hello garbage juice nice to meet you. flavor has more of the same, some caramel and dirty socks, paper to round it out. Finishes stalte, gross, medium carbonation. Yack.
