Bottle from ericandersnavy. Thanks for the tick! Pours light gold with a large fluffy white head. Nice clean smell of grassy hop. Medium minus body with light, creamy carbonation. It’s thinnish. It’s very mildly fruity, finishing with mild noble hop bitter. Goes down easy.

Nov 7, 2009 Bottle from ericandersnavy. Grain and some lemon zest aroma. Clear gold with good bubble action in glass with white head. Lemon zest and a sour malt base in there for flavor. That sweet sour lingered on the palate little disturbing seeing was going to have one more beer but palate was shot.

Nov 2, 2009 The beer poured out with a rich golden color and completely transparent. It had a slight foam, but no head, and a slight bubble. It had a very rich, hoppy scent that was slightly sweet and had a dash of barley thrown in too. Strangely, it reminded me a little of cheap beer like Coors or Budweiser. It tasted just like it smelled: lots of hops and a little barley. It also tasted like it had a little bit of lemon zest or something else citrusy in it. The texture was very smooth and refreshing - optimal for a summer brew at a tailgate, beach or chilling in your backyard.

Oct 30, 2009 12 oz. Clear golden with a creamy, small and lasting head. Aroma of corn husk, grain, lemongrass, faint rubber, and light honey. Tastes of light lemon honey and grass. Finish is crunchy fresh cucumber, citrus grass and resin. Light-medium body is creamy, but tingly and crisp. Very drinkable, and a pretty good example of the style.

Have had this one a few different times, though not recently. I’m surprised I haven’t rated it previously. This is a fairly simple beer. It makes for a decent summer session beer. It just doesn’t go much beyond that.

Oct 20, 2009 bottle thanks to boomer0813. poured a crystal clear yellow with a white head. aroma of lemon and a grainy pig farm type smell. flavor was a crisp lemon and slight grain undertone. body was light with high carbonation.
