Commercial Description:
UFO Raspberry Hefeweizen is our own interpretation of the European practice of adding fruit flavors to wheat beers. We have added natural raspberry flavor to our UFO Hefeweizen to give it a delicate fruit flavor and slight sweetness. The raspberry juice adds a rich color to the cloudy, unfiltered beer, yielding a soft reddish hue. The scent of the berries mixes with the lightly hopped beer aroma. The raspberries are balanced by UFO Hefeweizen’s clean, wheat beer taste, making this beer enjoyable and refreshing.

The color resembeles a white whine spritzer with a head that bubbles away just as quick as the pour. The nose is tart with some hops and hints of fruit. The flavor is very tart initially and you can really taste the berrys. The more you drink it the less of a rasberry flavor you get with each sip. The finish is a bit watery and not that complex, but there is a distinct tart like finish that is kind of pleasing.

12 oz. bottle. Pours slightly hazy yellow with a small white head. The aroma is grassy citrus raspberry. The flavor is moderately sweet, raspberries, citrus, and grass. Watery, light bodied.

Holy raspberry! I was expecting Raspberry but this was really raspberry. Too bad I’m not a big raspberry fan. Beer was made well I guess but I could not determine if the raspberry taste was natural or not. I would think no.

THOUGHTS: A really nice beer that I’ve passed by until I tried it at a party where it was the only beer among wine and liquor. A really nice summer beer that isn’t watered down. TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a almost glowing, cloudy, medium pinkish orange with a small to average, white head that mostly diminished and left fair lacing. The aroma was raspberry and wheat. The initial flavor was lightly sweet and moderately acidic; while the finish was light to moderately sweet, heavily bitter and sour with an average duration. There was slightly sweet raspberry, wheat and a little yeast then a bunch of very tart raspberry. The light to medium body was dry with soft carbonation and a moderate to heavy astringent finish.

12 oz bottle of shit. I am not a big fan of fruit beers to begin with. Pours a orange red with a super sweet aroma. Very fruity of rasberry. Pretty much what I expected.

Bottled: Blah I hate it! Pours a golden color with white lacing and a ruby tint. Smells of raspberries but tastes of rotten raspberries. Not much of a fruity beer drink, but some may actually like this one
