Aroma clearly of cinnamon spice (and nutmeg as well) with sweet malts also in the mix. Flavor was in my opinion a decent balance of malt and spice. The spice was perhaps just on the side of too much but dried the finish out nicely. Tasted much like a pumpkin ale without the pumpkin.

| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Jan 5, 2010 Tap at FW G Man. Clear reddish orange pour with a frothy head. Large amount of lacing on the edges. Light aroma. Some dark spices and fruit are present but not a whole lot. Light body with a gentle touch of malts. Some watered down effect, sad to see in a warmer. Chalky taste but not the mouthfeel. Burps taste like plastic. Niko100 (166), New York, USA

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Dec 31, 2009 Found this one bottled at Binny’s in St. Charles, Illinois. Clear, ruby red pour with a wispy, white head, and a mild, spicy, slightly fruity nose. Flavors of pumpkin pie, especially nutmeg, dominate the flavor. Nice, strong finish, but not too alcoholic. A very nice beer. taphandle (46), Texas, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 31, 2009 The aroma was strong - sweetness and spices. The head was off-white and the liquid was dark amber. There was a spiciness to the taste - the taste of nutmeg, along with sweetness. However, the finish seemed bitter and soapy, but at least that disappeared quickly Fratto (768), Arlington, Texas, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Dec 30, 2009 On tap from the Gingerman Fort Worth. Deep brown pour with a tan head. Aroma is sugar, decorative soap, and candy. Taste is a little malty with some sweet spice, but it tastes overwhelmingly like those Necco wafer candies. Dry, heartburn finish. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 25, 2009 Pours translucent amber color with a small tan head. Aroma is very much like carrot cake or pumpkin bread, a spiced vegetable mix. Similar flavor, the spices are more noticeable, especially the cinnamon. A little light bodied, not bad but I couldn’t see myself drinking more than 1 of these at a time. fsbw21086 (85), New Jersey, USA
