Commercial Description:
Ay up, a traditional Best Bitter ale that's as English as the Queen and rainy weekends. Brewed from English roasted malts, a real ale yeast and premium hops, our Best Bitter is long on malt and hops with a refreshing, clean finish.

I liked this. Good example of the classic UK style but carries a touch more alcohol and caramel / toffee malts to create a slightly bolder flavour profile. Nice mild bitter finish.

Tasted 17/05/2006. 330ml bottle from Miramar Liquorland. Gorgeous red-gold, bright, with a very light-tan head that collapes, disappears, and laces lightly. Toffee apple, grass and some mineral-like yeast notes on the nose - quite mild. Some nutty almond notes come through later. Dry malt in the mouth, well attenuated, with a strong grassy bitterness, a metallic note in the middle, and a lingering grassy hop finish. Light medium weight with a medium carbonation. Lacks a bit in the malt profile, only slightly more than an extra hoppy kiwi brown.

Bottled. Nut brown, brief head. Sweet with rounded moutheel and some resiny hoppiness. Very fruity and somewhat yeasty with lingering very bitter finish. Uncomplicated.
