12oz. bottle: This one pours a crystal clear amber color. There was just a bit of an off white head that drops away very quickly. The aroma is weaker but good, with mainly caramel and a touch of honey and earthiness. Somewhat bitter taste, with some earthiness and a touch of caramel. A little more bitter than I expected. Decent enough flavor and drinkability. A good everyday drink.

Pours amber with a thin off white head. Smells nutty and roasty with some underlying malt notes. Tastes of earthy hops, nuts, malt, and some citrus. Watery on the finish.

On tap at Willimantic Brewing. Pours a clear brown/amber with a small white head. Aroma of sweet malt with lots of diacetyl. Flavor is more of the same with diacetyl and lots of sweetness. Definitely a flawed beer. Meh. 6/4/5/3/12 (3.0/5)

Tap at Willimantic Brewing. Aroma of syrupy-sweet malt, some leafy/earthy hops. Flavor has toasted malt with sweet fruits, as well as some odd candied earthiness...or something. Pretty thin. Not a favorite.

12oz bottle, courtesy of jjpm74 (I believe). Thanks, John! Pours a clear, orangish-amber color; off-white, large-bubbled head with patchy lacing. Butter / butterscotch in the aroma; some sticky sugar and overripe fruit; not very pleasant. More sticky sugar and maple syrup / dried fruits in the mouthfeel, but not much else; overripe and sticky and blase. Sticky sugar and dried fruits in a lengthy finish.

poured a very thin looking amber hue with hardly any head. Aroma was slightly sour and moderetly infused with caramel malts. Flavor was a little more sour then the aroma indicated, but malt flavors seemed nice. Some earth notes balanced out buy sweet caramel notes. A thin body.

12oz bottle, best enjoyed before: June ’07 thanks to jjpm74, thanks John. Clear orange brown with a 1 1/2 finger off-white head. Green apple and light florals in the nose, and that’s it. Green apple with some tang continues in the flavor with some buttery notes and light caramel malts. Minimal bitterness. Moderate to high carbonation with a light body. I see Shipyard brews this--now everything makes sense.
