Commercial Description:
Inspired by traditional English session beers, our brown ale is brewed with specialty Caravienne and Victory malts which produce a slight toasty, nutty character combined with light additions of chocolate malt leaving a tawny - brown color.

Poured a clear brown color with a small, light tan head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of caramel malts, nuts, and a bit of roast. Taste of caramel, nuts, roasted malts, and some cocoa. Creamy mouthfeel, one of the better beers from this brewpub.

Very nice beer!!! Made up for the disappointment when they did not have any stout left. This beer had a nice malt smell and flavor. Kept to its nutty name. The aroma was one of the best I have ever smelt! A must whenever you are in the area.

Clear brown, thin creamy light tan head. Soft nose of milk chocolate and toasted nut. Toasty balanced flavors of more chocolate, and malty nut with just a touch of hopping. Light bodied and thin, soft carbonation, nutty finish. Just ok...

Clear brown, almost black. A modest khaki head and a nutty aroma. Nutty finish with a burnt harshness that spoils the experience.

Pours a brown with ruby and an average creamy off white head that left slight lacing. Aroma very toasty, nuts, roasted almonds, some coffee grinds and a light hop presence. Flavors of the same...although slightly toned down from the aroma. Slightly on the thin side.

Pours cherry brown, with a wisp of a head. Not much aroma, just some faint roastiness whihc I had to struggle to pick up. Overcarbonated mouthfeel, thin texture, and no sweetness made this one rather disappointing for such a simple beer.

Tap at the brewpub as part of the sampler. Nutty aroma with some hints of chocolate and coffee. Taste had hints of nuts and caramel plus some chocolate and coffee. Thin palate without much going on. This was not really my thing.
